- Three groups of people hold significant influence over individuals and, therefore, over society and humanity in general. These are parents, teachers, and religious leaders (I have not included politicians). Parents and teachers are particularly close to my heart because their impact on children's lives extends way into current and future generations. The more effectively parents and teachers engage with children, the more likely those children are to flourish. I spend much time learning, reading, and seeking evidence-based tips for parents and teachers to make their tasks more meaningful, enjoyable, and effective. I compile the information into workshops so parents and teachers, in particular, can access helpful information to improve their important roles.
Specific life challenges...
- Depression and anxiety: two common mental health disorders that can cause significant distress and impairment in a person's life. Depression is characterized by sadness, hopelessness, and a loss of interest in once-enjoyable activities. Anxiety, on the other hand, is associated with excessive worry, fear, and apprehension. Both conditions can be treated with therapy, medication, or a combination. It's essential to seek help if you think you may be experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety.
