About

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website. I'm Dr Bev Feldman, and I look forward to engaging with you. I’d call myself a heart doctor, but that would imply a cardiologist, which I’m not. I am an Educational Psychologist, mom, wife, sister, friend, teacher, researcher, and student of life. I have relationships, aspirations, challenges, hopes, fears, and dreams, just like you. I have experienced life, love, loss, ups, and downs, and all the stages in between. My intention is to connect with you, to create a caring, safe and supportive space, in which you, or your loved ones, may find a space to breathe,  and refuel, as you navigate life's challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

I hold a Doctorate in Psychology; a Master’s degree in guidance and counselling; two Honours degrees in Special Needs in education and Psycho-educational support,  and a Higher Diploma in Education. I am continuously engaged in professional development to increase my repertoire of therapeutic skills and strategies for the benefit of my clients.

My career experience includes... teaching in both primary and high schools for a total of 23 years; working as a learning support teacher and school psychologist; then working as a senior lecturer in the Department of Psychology of Education at the University of South Africa (UNISA). Additionally, I have been in part-time private practice for the past ten years.

I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) with registration number: PS0125377. I am also registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) with practice number: 0549614

My husband and I have three children, who are now a teen, and two adults.

I have a special interest in caring for carers, or anyone who feels overwhelmed by the demands of life, and longs for a quiet space to breathe, and grow.
